Training of DPOs and GBV Actors on CRPD and DISD
DRAC with support from DRF is implementing a project on Access to Justice (A2J) for Women with Disabilities in Plateau State. Access to justice is particularly difficult for women and girls with disabilities largely due to the stigma associated with their sexuality, disability and poverty.
The project is aimed at improving access to justice for women with disabilities and ensure that policy makers, DPOs, DBV and justice actors are strengthened to provide Disability Inclusive Service Delivery (DISD).
In a 2-day training of DPOs and GBV actors on Article 13 of the CRPD and DISD, the participants were taken through the process of understanding disability inclusion, terminologies and provisions of the CRPD.
